Your key responsibilities will include:
Assist and/or advise clients with project work or in a BAU capacity in the following fields: valuation, capital, financial reporting and/or IFRS17.
Be involved on projects outside your core area of specialty if desired (such as reinsurance, pricing, data remediation, etc.) from time to time.
Train and lead more junior team members. Coordinate and support them on their projects, in a managing, supervisory and/or review capacity, as required.
Review and write up high quality file notes and methodology documentations.
Translate technical analysis and complex systems for business consumption, escalating key action points and maintaining a strategic mindset, to ensure well-informed decision making and successful outcomes for our clients.
Support business development in New Zealand, and help us build a strong local team in New Zealand.
Actively contribute to the team's professional development through sharing your knowledge. Collaboration and support Dataly Actuarial's own programs, systems and tools.

Experience and Qualifications
A prerequisite for all applicants is the rights to live and work in New Zealand.
Fellow of the NZSA (or equivalent).
8+ years of work experience in the New Zealand market.
Significant competency and experience in actuarial and finance works such as valuation and reporting, with knowledge of IFRS17 preferred.
Advanced Excels skills and strong technical knowledge of MS office suite.
Excellent knowledge of the New Zealand insurance regulatory framework and standards of practice.
Ability to manage projects, manage senior stakeholders expectations and recognise the need for escalation.
Excellent verbal and written communication, in particular the ability to relate to senior management, colleagues and client.
